I recently reviewed some contractor schedules and I was surprised that the schedulers had changed the Schedule Options, When scheduling progressed activities use option from the default of Retained Logic to Actual Dates and they both ended up with meaningless programs because their circular relationships were no longer being identified.
This paper aims to explain the difference between the way Schedule Options, When scheduling progressed activities use option of Retained Logic, Progress Override and Actual Dates calculate, so when people change the default of Retained Logic they will be aware of the risks they are running.
